SPECIAL MEMBER PROGRAMS
Member Exhibition Openings honor the support of our members by providing an exclusive viewing opportunity of exhibitions in a relaxing atmosphere. It is a great chance to mingle over complimentary cocktails and hors d’ouevres and get to know fellow members, artists, and community leaders who share your interest in supporting the Museum. All members are invited to these special events.
The Annual Gala is our signature fundraising event that takes place in late winter (February 21, 2009). You will not want to miss this always fun and highly-anticipated event that celebrates MoA|FL’s cultural contribution to South Florida. Members are invited to participate in this one-of-a-kind event.
BAMM (Broward Attractions and Museums Month) is a month long celebration of reciprocal membership to participating Broward County organizations that have come together to increase membership awareness of the historical and cultural treasures in the surrounding areas. During the month of June exclusively, if you become a member or are a member of one of the participating organizations, you will enjoy free admission to each of the other organizations. What’s the best way to join or renew my expired or current membership?
You can renew or join online, at the admissions desk on your next visit, or call and give a credit card number over the phone to 954.525.5500, ext. 254. You may also mail a check or money order to the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale to the Development Department at One East Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Credit cards with expiration dates after 2010 cannot currently be processed online. When paying with credit card, if expiration date is after the year 2010, please call 954.525.5500, ext. 254 to process over the phone.

What are Reciprocal Benefits?
Reciprocal benefits give you reciprocity to over 300 museums nationwide. This means that when visiting these other participating museums you will receive free or discounted admission. Some Florida Museums include The Boca Raton Museum, Miami Art Museum, The Lowe Art Museum/UM, Hollywood Art and Culture Center, Naples Museum of Art, and The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. (Before visiting reciprocal museums, calling is recommended for specific admission information; privileges may be restricted for special exhibitions).
What if I want to bring a visiting family member or friend, are they free too?
A Student/Teacher or Individual membership allows free admission for one adult per visit. A Family/Dual membership or above allows two adults and any children in the family under 18 years of age. If there is only one adult on the Family/Dual membership and above, a guest adult is allowed in free with your membership and considered to be the other adult on the membership. Any additional guests may use guest passes or pay general admission price.
How do I redeem my guest passes?
Guest passes start as a benefit at the Supporter level ($250). They are mailed out with your membership cards when you join or renew your membership. If you did not receive them with your recent new membership or renewal, please contact the membership department at 954.525.5500, ext. 254.
What kind of discounts do I receive for the Studio Art School?
Registration fee for adult and children classes during the school year is waived for all members. Family/Dual members and above receive the extra benefit of $50 off Creative Summer Art Camp (membership must extend through the end of camp session). Is my membership fully tax deductable?
The Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale, Nova Southeastern University is a non-profit organization exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your membership contribution is tax-deductable to the fullest extent by law.
